Troubleshooting Tips
- Sometimes the salt can crystalize inside of the mister mechanism; try adding a smaller pinch of salt or just one grain.
- Some brands of oils are thicker than others and may suffocate the mister mechanism; try adding a little witch hazel tincture to your spray to emulsify the water and oil! You can also dissolve the essential oil in the alcohol before adding the water.

I am a healer so smudging regularly is a must. I made this spray before an event I had and the sprayer got clogged. I switched it out for another one and the same thing. Is there something I am doing wrong in making this or an ingredient I should maybe cut back on or increase to keep this from happening again?

Great question! “Charging” the oils is a spiritual term for empowering them with intent. You can do this by holding the bottle of oil in your hands or concentrating on the oil as you add it to the bottle, and visualizing what you want the outcome to be.
In this case, when you add the Rose oil, which is great for Universal Love, you can visualize your home or workplace being full of kindness. When you add the Sage oil, you can visualize all of the harmful vibes evaporating or turning into white, peaceful vibes.
