Organization Spotlight: The Plastic Pollution Coalition

Everyone at Plentiful Earth believes in our responsibility to keep our earth plentiful. The earth is our life-sustaining home; what we give to the earth, the earth gives back to us. Unfortunately, weโ€™re giving the earth 33 million tons of plastic every year; only 8% of that plastic gets recycled. When we feed the earth our plastic, the earth repays us with toxic water, poisoned plants, and poisoned food. The chemicals that leach out of plastic and enter our foods contribute to cancers, birth defects, lowered immunities, and so much more. We are effectively getting back what we send out – we poison the earth and the earth poisons us in return.

โ€œNo matter what group you commit to, no matter what spirituality you align with, no matter what religion you follow, no matter what political party you fall under, and no matter what your gender or race is, we are all citizens of Earth, and we all have a responsibility.โ€ โ€“ Aurora Moone
