Instructions

Pick Out An Orange

  • Choose an orange that you can visualize clearly in your mind. Ideally, you want to choose an orange that you can hold and examine closely, but if that is not possible, a clear mental image will suffice.

Study The Orange

  • Take some time to examine the orange closely, paying attention to its color, texture, and shape.
  • Notice the way the light reflects off the surface, the way the skin feels to the touch, and the way the orange smells.
  • Try to engage as many of your senses as possible to create a detailed mental image.

Imagine The Inside

  • Now that you have a clear mental image of the outside of the orange, it's time to break it down into smaller components.
  • Start by visualizing the orange as a whole, and then imagine peeling off the skin to reveal the juicy segments inside.
  • Focus on each segment individually, visualizing its shape, texture, and color.

Associate Your Memories & Senses To Each Part Of The Orange

  • Once you have broken the orange down into smaller components, you can start associating information with each one.
  • For example, you might associate a particular idea with the color of the orange, or a specific detail with the texture of the skin.
  • As you learn new information, try to associate it with different parts of the orange to make it easier to remember.

Practice Regularly

  • Take time each day to visualize the orange and associate new information with its different components. Over time, you will find that visualization becomes easier and more natural, and that you are better able to remember and recall information.
