Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. Bacon, diced Magical properties: prosperity, longevity
  • 1 Large onion diced, Magical properties: protection, good health, reduce anger
  • 1 Red bell pepper diced, Magical properties: love, vitality
  • 1 Green bell pepper diced, Magical properties: vitality, good health, happiness
  • 6 cloves Garlic minced, Magical properties: breaking curses, good health
  • 4.5 Tbsp. San Antonio chili powder Magical properties: power, vitality, longevity
  • 1.5 Tbsp. Ground cumin Magical properties: protection, healing
  • 1.5 Tbsp. Paprika Magical properties: power boost, vitality
  • 2 tsp. Dried oregano Magical properties: strength, happiness, healing
  • 2 tsp. Kosher salt Magical properties: cleansing, protection
  • 3 lbs. Ground beef or turkey Magical properties: strength, vitality, power
  • 12 oz. Beer Magical properties: Protection, happiness
  • 14 oz. Canned black beans, drained Magical properties: Decision making, courage
  • 14 oz. Canned red kidney beans, drained Magical properties: Love, healing, wisdom
  • 24 oz. Crushed tomatoes Magical properties: Happiness, protection, fun
  • 24 oz. Fire-roasted diced tomatoes Magical properties: Protection, passion, happiness
  • Beef broth if necessary Magical Properties: Strength, power, vitality

Instructions
 

  • Dice and cook bacon over medium-high heat in a large, 8 qt. pot.
  • When bacon is almost done, lower to medium heat and add in diced onion and bell peppers. Cook until softened.
  • Add in minced garlic, chili powder, ground cumin, paprika, dried oregano, and salt. Cook 1-2 minutes, until aromatic.
  • Add ground meat to the bacon and onion mixture. Cook until no longer pink.
  • Stir in a can of beer, rinsed and drained beans, crushed tomatoes with juice, and diced tomatoes with juice.
  • Cover and simmer on low 1.5 hours, stirring every 10-15 minutes for the first hour, and every 5-10 minutes for the last 30 minutes.
  • Add in a little beef broth, if necessary. You may need to stir more often depending on your pot and how hot your burner gets.
  • Taste, season, and serve!
